1501411 Axial-flow fans SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN AB 10 April 1975 [12 April 1974] 14670/75 Heading F1C The impeller blades 12, Fig. 2, of an axial flow fan are connected by rolling line contact pivots to a rotor rim 10 to permit swinging movement of each blade, about an axis which lies in a plane normal to a radius of the rim passing through the blade connection, in order to raise the blade resonance frequency. In one embodiment, Fig. 2, the pivot is formed by a metal pin 30 or round-nosed wedge held loosely by a strap 34 and which is in rolling engagement with a metal plate 32 or a groove therein, a ring 48 retaining the pin in position. A clip 60 centres the blade relative to a hole 44 in the rim 10. Plate 32 is screw mounted on rim 10 and may be rotated to provide pitch adjustment. In another embodiment the pitch may be adjusted by a pin 70, Fig. 6, attached to one end of pin 30 and which is moved parallel to the rotor axis by an annular disc 76 fast with a control sleeve 80 slidable on the hub 26. In this way the pitch of all the blades may be adjusted simultaneously. Counterweights 33 counteract the tendency of the blade to turn under the action of centrifugal force.

This invention relates to the field of torus construction. Known is an impeller of an axial fan, which contains a rim, in which locking pins are installed, fixed in the eyelets of the shanks of the blades U. However, such an impeller is not reliable enough. The aim of the invention is to increase the reliability of the wheel. This is achieved by supporting sleeves on the inner surface of the rim of the proposed wheel, through the radial holes of which the needle blades are missed, plates with restrictive slots for placing the pins are fixed at the ends of the sleeves, and loop hinges are placed between the walls of the sleeves of the blades plate retainers. Supporting sleeves are made in the form of an intermediate ring and fixed on the rim with the possibility of turning the disc, and in the latter one can make a groove for the pins. FIG. Figure 1 shows the working wheel described, longitudinal section; in fig. 2 is a section along aa in FIG. 1 in FIG. 3 is a section according to BB in FIG. 2 The impeller of an axial fan has an id I, in which locking sockets 2 pins 3 are mounted, fixed in eyelets 4 of the working blade blades 5. On the inner surface of the rim 1 there are fixed bushes ring 6 and mounted on the rim with the possibility of rotation of the end disk 7, in which the groove 8 under the pin 3 can be made. At the ends of the sleeves there are fixed plates 9 with restrictive slots 10 for placing the pins 3. For fixing the blade 5 in the working position at turning off the engine, the lugs of the 4 shanks are installed in an “out” 11 having a V-shape, the free ends of which are bent and fixed on the rim 1. In order to rotate the disk 7, arc-shaped grooves 12 are made in it, which include screws 13 long. fixing the disk, and hence the blades 5 in the desired position. When the wheel is in operation, the centrifugal forces acting on the blades 5 in the radial direction, press the pin 3 to the disk 7, and the linear contact of the two parts is made, and does not create a large contact force.

Claim
1. The impeller of the axial fan, containing the rim, in the lock ridges of which there are pins fixed in the eyes of the shanks of the blades, characterized in that, in order to increase reliability, the supporting bushings are fixed on the inner surface of the rim, through the radial holes of which the shanks of the blades are passed, plates with restrictive slots for accommodating pins are fixed on the ends of the bushings, and loop-type plate clamps are placed between the walls of the 5 holes of the bushings and the shanks.

2. The wheel according to claim 1, characterized in that the support sleeves are made in the form of an intermediate ring of 10 centigrade and mounted on the rim with the possibility of turning the end disk.
